1-1. Recommended Setup
We recommend using the Chrome browser.
1-2. Checking Your Enrolled Class Schedule
Click the calendar icon at the top right of the homepage to see your enrolled class schedule. Days with a class are marked with a red dot below the date.
Tip!Bookmark the calendar page on your computer so you can check your schedule even faster and more easily! If your child needs to join class alone, bookmarking it in advance means they can join without going through the login process.
1-3. How to Join a Class

Joining via the "Join Class" button on the Gguge homepage
Go to [calendar icon (top right) > Prepare for Class > Join Class] to enter the room directly—much easier than opening Zoom and entering the details manually.

The Zoom room changes with every class session, so please take note.
•
The Join Class button becomes active 1 hour before the class start time.
I clicked Join Class, but I can't enter the room!
The room settings have been updated so students can no longer enter before the teacher. Once the teacher joins, all waiting students will be let in automatically.

Joining via the pre-class notification on the Gguge homepage
From 30 minutes before the class until the class end time, a [Join Class] button appears on the Gguge homepage main screen. Use that button to join!

If Zoom is already installed on your PC
Click the [Open Zoom Meetings] button to join the class.
•
If Zoom is not installed
Click [Join from Browser] on the screen that appears.
2. Joining on Phone or Tablet
2-1. Recommended Setup

If you're accessing via web browser on a phone or tablet:

Android: we recommend Chrome
◦
iOS (Apple): we recommend Safari

Tap [Schedule] at the bottom of the homepage to see your enrolled class schedule.

Joining via the Gguge homepage
Go to [Schedule > Prepare for Class > Join Class] to enter the room directly—much easier than opening Zoom and entering the details manually.

The Zoom room changes with every class session, so please take note.

The Join Class button becomes active 1 hour before the class start time.
If you have trouble joining via the Join Class button, tap the link under "Having trouble joining?", copy it, and paste it into your browser to enter directly.

3. Basic Zoom Features
3-1. Rename
Teachers check attendance using the name on their attendance sheet and often call on students by name during class. For smooth communication and attendance, please change your display name to match your registered Gguge name before class.
※ For English classes, you may need to use an English name—please check the class detail page.

How to rename: Zoom room bottom menu > [Participants] > hover over your name > click [...] > [Rename]
3-2. Mute / Video
You can turn your audio and video on or off using the buttons at the bottom of the screen. Please keep both on for smooth two-way communication with the teacher.
※ Depending on the class, the teacher may mute all students' microphones except during presentation or discussion time.
3-3. Chat
Select who you want to send a message to, then type your message. We recommend sending to Everyone so the teacher and all students can see it.
※ Depending on the class, the teacher may restrict the chat feature to help students focus.
3-4. Pin
By default, the Zoom room shows whoever is currently speaking most prominently. If you'd like to keep the teacher's video displayed at all times:
•
To pin: hover over the video you want to pin > click [...] > click [Pin]
•
To unpin: hover over the pinned video > click [Remove Pin]
3-5. Screen Share
This feature lets the teacher or a student share their screen with everyone in the room.
※ Screen sharing is generally set to teachers only. For some classes, students may also be able to share.
How to share: Zoom room bottom menu > [Share Screen] > click the screen you want > click [Share]

4. Checking Materials Before Class
You can check the required materials on the class detail page before joining. Class resources provided by the teacher can be downloaded after purchase via [calendar icon (top right) > Prepare for Class]. Please prepare everything before class starts!
5. Checking Chat Before and After Class
Class-related messages may be sent via the Chat feature before or after class, so please check your messages before joining.
You can access Chat at [Gguge homepage > speech-bubble icon (top right)].
6. Checking the Class Etiquette Guide Before Joining
Only the registered student may join the class, and we ask that one student use one device. We recommend reading the [Gguge] Class Etiquette Guide before joining. For everyone—students and teachers—to have a great class experience, a little class etiquette goes a long way.
