▌ 1. What is the Chat Feature?
The chat feature is designed to facilitate smooth communication between teachers and parents.
All conversations are conducted 1:1, and other users cannot view the chat content.
Using the chat feature, you can answer questions from parents before they purchase a class, and also send group messages or individual feedback to students who have participated in a class.
The chat list displays up to a maximum of 4,500 conversations.
If the number exceeds 4,500, conversations will be deleted from the list sequentially, starting from the oldest.
▌ 2. All Chat Features
▌ 2-1. How to Check Conversations
You can access conversations via [Teacher Gguge Website > Left menu > Chat].
You can search by parent name or student name to find a specific conversation.
▌ 2-2. How to Check Registered vs. Non-Registered Students
You can check whether the parent you're chatting with has registered for a class.
If a parent has never registered for any of the teacher's classes, they will be marked as [Not Registered] to the right of their name.
For parents who have purchased at least one of the teacher's classes, the names of the students who have registered for the teacher's classes will be displayed at the bottom of the list.
•
Up to 3 students will be displayed in the list; if there are more, they will be shown as 'and N more'.
•
Even if a parent has other children, only the names of students who have registered for the teacher's classes will be displayed.
▌ 2-3. How to Check a Registered Student's Class History
For registered students, you can view the student's name, gender, age, first registered schedule, last attended schedule, and number of schedule attendances via [Click on the conversation > Calendar icon on the right].
▌ 2-4. Accepting New Chat Messages
When a new chat message is received, the teacher's first reply is considered as accepting the chat.
•
If no reply is made, the 'Read' status will not be displayed to the parent.
•
When you reply to a message, the read status will be shown and shared with the parent. At this point, a notification saying 'You have accepted the conversation with the parent.' will appear.
▌ 2-5. Blocking Chat from Non-Registered Students
The feature to receive questions from non-registered students is set to ON by default.
When the feature is ON, non-registered students can send messages to the teacher.
If you do not wish to receive chats from non-registered students, you can turn the feature OFF.
•
The ON/OFF setting can be changed via [Teacher Gguge Website > Left menu > Chat > Gear icon
on the right > Toggle for 'Receive questions from non-registered students'].
▌ 2-6. New Chat Notifications
When you receive a new message, the number of unread conversations will be displayed in [Teacher Gguge Website > Left menu > Chat].
When you see the number, please check and reply to the messages.
If there are new unread messages, KakaoTalk notifications will be sent at 10 AM and 7 PM.
▌ 2-7. File Transfer
You can send various files such as photos, Word/Excel/PPT documents, and more.

When viewing chats from a schedule, only conversations with students who have registered for that class will be displayed.
▌ 2-10. How to Delete Chat Messages
